Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI: Huge Crop, No problem

I took a photo of a bird. And I was far away and only my trusty FUJINON XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS with me. So, when I cropped this birdie out of the image I didn’t have many pixels left. It was time for the Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI upscaling!

I had enough light for ISO 250 at ƒ/4 aperture which still gives nice blurry background from that distance. The focal length of 52.7 mm instead of the full 55 mm. It was a kinda fast situation so, I guess I slightly pumped it.

Even with low ISO, there was still some noise. I removed it with amusing Topaz Labs Denoise AI and then sharpened the image with Sharpen AI. But now, the image is 1323 pixels per side. That’s very small by today’s standards. I ran it through the Gigapixel AI and upscaled it by two times and I think it still looks like it really was shot with that resolution.
